Geography: Books on Geography

Geography is the study of Earth's landscapes, peoples, places and environments. It is, quite simply, about the world in which we live. Geography is unique in bridging the social sciences (human geography) with the natural sciences (physical geography).

Introduction to eBooks

A formal definition of E-book would be: "The electronic counterpart of a printed book, which can be viewed on a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone or e-book reader. When traveling, a large number of e-books can be stored in portable units, dramatically eliminating weight and volume compared to paper." (e-book, n.d.).

In other words, it is a book in digital form.

E-books are becoming popular and can be useful in many ways.

1) Portable: An E-book can be stored on many different devices eliminating the need to carry around a heavy book.

2) Sizable Text: You can adjust the size of the books text to make it easy to read.

3) Night Reading: Many of the devices which E-books can be read on are backlit.  This means that you can read without the need of an external light source.

4) Instant Access: Once purchased or borrowed an E-book is immediately accessible.  You never have to leave your house!

Once you have decided that you would like to try E-books for yourself you need to decide how you want to access these books.  This page has been created to inform you about some of the options available to you and how to make the most of this exciting new technology.
