Qualitative research involves understanding human behavior and reasoning, by asking broad a question, collecting data in the form of words, images, video etc. that is analyzed, and searching for themes. This type of research aims to investigate a question without attempting to quantifiably measure variables or relationships between variables. Quantitative research involves systematic empirical investigation of quantitative properties and phenomena and their relationships, by asking a narrow question and collecting numerical data to analyze it utilizing statistical methods.
What is research methodology and research methods?
Research methodology seeks to answer: how did the researcher complete his study. Research methods are the techniques and tools by which you research a subject or a topic. Methodology explains and justifies the techniques and tools by which you may proceed with your research.
The third method, mixed-method, combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. This approach is used when the best outcome is identified by combining methods or when one method is used to enhance the answers provided by the other method.
