Welcome to the J.S. Flipper Library!
We would like to welcome you all to Access Freely, here at the J.S. Flipper Library. Your library requires each patron from all walks of life, to register for their very own patron barcode. The patron must be a registered Allen University student, faculty or staff to use the library's services. Once registered, the patron will have unlimited access to the wealth of materials, knowledge, and sources made available at their fingertips.

The J.S. Flipper Library, like many academic libraries, uses the Library of Congress Classification system to assign call numbers. This system uses letters and numbers to sort books into subject areas, but each title does have its own unique call number. This outline of the Library of Congress Classification can be used to determine where titles in a general subject area may be found in our library. For more information about the Library of Congress Classification system, how to find materials in the J.S. Flipper Library, and other research help, please ask a librarian the next time you make a visit. This lib-guide also aims to help you, the user, understand how to better use your library. We have highlighted several different services that the library offers in order to give customers an overview of services and resources they may not be aware of or may not feel comfortable using.
